Former Astronaut William Shepherd arrived today for a 10 day tour of Kurdistan to visit diginitaries and hold public speaking events on his experiences while as an Astronaut and as the first Comander of the International Space Station while working closely with the Russian Space Program.

Mr. Shepherd made several speaking engagements at the Erbil Speed Center (aka "The Racetrack") and The American University near the Khanzad hotel.  Several dignitaries and VIPs from Kurdish and American companies attended to hear of Mr. Shepherd's experiences and involvement in the Joint American and Russian Space Program.

After the presentations was over questions were answered while drinks and dinner was served as well as several photo opportunities with Mr. Shepherd.

Mr. Shepherds visit was hosted by Vanguard Consulting Group, who provided logistics, transportation, and personal security. The personnel at Vanguard Consulting Group have many years of experience providing protective services for a variety of clients and in virtually any type of environment.
